When I first started listening to Contemporary Christian Music, (back in ‘79)Amy Grant was one of my favorites. It was shortly after she wrote “Grown Up Christmas List,” that she divorced her husband of 17 years, Gary Chapman, to marry Vince Gill, famed country music singer.
A couple of years before this song, she had gone mainstream, which disappointed me greatly.
Now, she does a mixture of both. In any case, I still like her early recordings.
